Deputy Headteacher

Rosebrook Primary School and Ad Astra Academy Trust wishes to appoint a Deputy Headteacher who can demonstrate outstanding practice, harness the skills and enthusiasm of all staff and work in partnership with the Headteacher to lead the school on the journey towards ‘Outstanding’.

The successful candidate will be someone who is keen to further develop knowledge and skills in all aspects of school leadership and someone who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our school; helping us to provide the very best for every child and family in the community. In return, the appointed Deputy Headteacher will work with a dedicated and committed staff to build on the considerable and continued successes and achievements of the school. Rosebrook Primary School and Ad Astra Academy Trust are also committed to continued professional development for all staff within an inclusive and supportive environment and the Deputy Headteacher will also benefit from working with an innovative and forward thinking Academy Trust, which will grow to 8 schools across the Tees-Valley in 2019.

Deputy Lead for School Improvement L11-15

Ad Astra Academy Trust in 2019, will have grown significantly to 8 primary schools across the Tees Valley and subsequently are looking to expand our School Improvement provision.

Trustees are very flexible on the terms of the appointment and this is open to negotiation. We would welcome secondments (with the agreement of your Headteacher or Head of Service) and also where requested 3 or 4 day per week working arrangements. The post provides the successful candidate with an opportunity to add significant experience of working for a developing, innovative and forward-thinking academy trust to their portfolio. If the successful candidate aspires to be a headteacher we would fund any leadership development such as NPQH or Future Leaders.

There is an expectation that the successful candidate will work in all of our schools which are based within Hartlepool, Middlesbrough and Stockton-On-Tees.

This post would ideally suit a teacher or leader that have led on teaching and learning; co-ordinated assessment or curriculum development within their own school, an Academy Trust, Local Authority or have been a Specialist Leader in Education for example.

Teaching Assistant

Band 5 – Fixed-term until 21st July 2019

Teaching Assistant (Band 5) SCP 13-15, £13,139.35 – £13,578.31 per annum (pro rata), 32.5 hours per week, term time only plus five PD days per year (195 days).

The Headteacher and Governors wish to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and imaginative Teaching Assistant to work within the early years setting and work with teachers to support the teaching and learning of pupils.  Applicants will possess NVQ Level 2 or equivalent. The school is looking for an applicant with excellent communication and ICT skills, who can develop effective relationships with pupils and colleagues, and be able to follow teachers’ plans.

Candidates should be suitably qualified and experienced and be able to meet the criteria detailed on the person specification.
