Ayresome Primary School, Middlesbrough The DfE approved an Academy Order for Ayresome Primary School to join Ad Astra in January 2019 as a sponsored school. Ayresome Primary School is a very large 2-11 primary school situated in the Gresham Ward of Middlesbrough; formed from the amalgamation of Ayresome Infants and Ayresome Juniors in 2002. They have over 740 pupils on roll which includes a significant number of 2 and 3-year olds in their Park House provision. There are a number of different languages spoken by pupils with a significant number of children new to England and of Eastern European Roma origin. The school appeared in the media, describing its excellent ‘School of Sanctuary’ work covering the pressure on primary schools in Middlesbrough caused by a significant influx of Eastern European pupils

Brougham Primary School, Hartlepool is larger than the average-sized primary school. Brougham joined Ad Astra on July 1st 2016. The proportion of pupils eligible for support through the pupil premium is well above average. The large majority of pupils are of White British heritage. The proportion of pupils with learning needs supported in school is well above average.

Crooksbarn Primary School, Stockton is an average sized primary school located in Norton on the northern outskirts of Stockton-On-Tees. Crooksbarn was the most recent school to join Ad Astra on 1st April 2018, as an outstanding convertor primary academy. The proportion of pupils with SEND and Pupil Premium is well below average. The large majority of pupils are of White British heritage.

Rosebrook Primary, Stockton-On-Tees is a larger-than-average-sized primary school. Rosebrook joined the trust on November 1st 2016, but has been working with the trust since autumn 2015. There is a small specialised ASD Resource Base in the school for pupils who have special educational needs. The proportion of pupils with learning needs supported throughout school slightly above average. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for the pupil premium funding is also well above average.

West Park Primary School, Hartlepool is larger than the average-sized primary school. West Park also instigated the formation of Ad Astra and joined the trust on March 1st 2015. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for the pupil premium is significantly well below average. The proportion of pupils supported throughout school with special educational needs is well below average. The proportion of pupils who speak English as an additional language is well below average.

West View Primary School, Hartlepool is a larger-than-average-sized primary school. West View were the first school to join the trust on January 1st 2015, but had instigated the formulation of the trust over the previous year. The proportion of pupils with learning needs supported throughout school is above average. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for the pupil premium funding is also well above average. West View has a community sports facility on the premises.
